Our Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) 1-Day Course provides essential lifesaving skills for individuals who may need to respond to emergencies in the workplace. The course meets the requirements of the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 and follows current HSE and Resuscitation Council UK guidelines. Delivered by experienced medical professionals, the course focuses on practical, hands-on training, giving you the confidence and knowledge to respond effectively in emergency situations until professional medical help arrives. Course Overview This one-day course teaches the core skills needed to manage emergency first aid incidents in the workplace, including life-threatening situations such as cardiac arrest, choking, and severe bleeding. What You Will Learn During the course you will cover: 🔴The role and responsibilities of an emergency first aider 🔴Assessing an emergency situation safely 🔴Adult CPR and use of an AED (defibrillator) 🔴Dealing with an unconscious casualty 🔴Choking 🔴Severe bleeding and shock 🔴Minor injuries including cuts, burns and bruises 🔴Seizures 🔴Recording and reporting incidents Who Should Attend This course is ideal for: ✅Low-risk workplaces such as offices, shops and small businesses ✅Employers meeting basic HSE first aid requirements ✅Supervisors and team leaders ✅Anyone wanting to gain essential first aid knowledge and confidence 📑Certification Upon successful completion, delegates will receive an Emergency First Aid at Work certificate valid for 3 years.
